French
The origin of the French language is mainly Latin. It was developed in the 6th century and today, it has more than 800 million native speakers. One can find French speakers in Europe and some parts of America. French is the official language in 29 countries. It is also an official language of all United Nations agencies and a large number of international organizations.
There are 16 vowels in French. Not all of them may be used in every dialect. Pronunciation is based strictly on the spelling of the word – however, there may be variations in the rules for different dialects. In writing, it adopts 26 letters of the basic Latin script.
At International Language Academy, we offer 5 Levels of French language course. Each level is carefully designed to cater to the learning needs of students – from novice to advanced speakers. It takes 20 hours of face-to-face teaching to complete each level, typically conducted over 10 weeks. Our teachers are native French speakers with extensive experience teaching the language to adult learners.
