Goede dag, Hallo ime

Dutch

The Dutch language is the official language of the Netherlands. The name Dutch comes from the word Dietsc, or Duutsc, which was the name of the language in the Middle Ages. It meant “language of the people.”

Dutch is closely related to German and English and is said to be between them. Dutch shares with German a similar word order, having a grammatical gender, and a largely Germanic vocabulary.Like most Germanic languages, the Dutch consonant system did not undergo the High German consonant shift and has a syllable structure that allows fairly complex consonant clusters.

At International Language Academy we provide various levels of dutch conversational course – Basic, Intermediate and Advanced. Training materials are developed by our own teachers following years of teaching dutch in Singapore. A Certificate of Completion is awarded to students completing each stage of the course.
